| Participate in fun and exciting things happening at Meranda-Nixon Winery in Ripley, Ohio, during our vineyard tours, including a wine tasting of our exquisite reds and whites. Harvest ends in mid to late October, and everything from pruning to harvesting in the vineyard is completed all by hand. |
Tasting Room
The tasting room is located in a one-story building that features a covered patio on two sides, ideal for enjoying a glass of wine within sight of the prolific vineyards. Inside the tasting room, visitors find an old working Victrola by Victor and walls painted with frescos that leave an impression of an Italian café. We have seating outside shaded by umbrella's so you may sip on your favorite Meranda-Nixon Estate Wine.
Inside, the tasting room has several tables available for visitors to sit and taste wine. You'll absolutely enjoy this one-of-a-kind ambiance along with your decadent wine tasting.

New Additions

The 2018 Red Wines have arrived! These vintage survied the winter of 2018 to produce some of the nicest red's. The grape size that harvest was small but packed with intense flavor.
Our 2017 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has a blueberry flavor on the front pallet, followed by a vanilla tobacco flavors with a smooth light oak finish.
Our 2017 Estate Norton shows off Norton’s intense fruit and mellow palate. Mellowing with time in the bottle, it continues to deliver a powerful nose with concentrated fruit aromas and sweet spice. The flavors of cherries and plums that define Norton, with nuances of ripe fruit, pepper, earth, and a vanilla edge, round out this wine

Pride & Joy

Our 2013 Estate Cabernet Franc earned a "BEST OF SHOW" award and double gold at the 2016 Ohio Wine Competition! This Black cherry on the mid-palate with a finish that has touch of vanilla and pepper. It shows complex aromas of freshly crushed fruit (blackberry and plum), pepper and tobacco. Velvet-smooth tannins, dense and rich, this elixir fills every corner of the mouth with its decadence. This vintage is only available in our tasting room.
Our 2018 Estate Reserve Chardonnay is a favorite to make and drink. This wine's smooth buttery flavors, followed by hint of lemon and oak make this wine enjoyable now and for years to come.

The Vineyards

| Meranda-Nixon Winery and vineyards are on the same family-owned farm where Seth Meranda’s great grandfather lived and grew tobacco and grains. Seth and his late wife, Tina, decided to add the vineyards and winery when the tobacco industry began to die out. |

Where We Are Today
Today, the 14.5 acres of vineyards consist of Traminette, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Norton, and Catawba. We planted the Catawba for its historical significance as well as to make a sweet wine.
In the winery, use the grapes from our own vineyards to make the world's best wine. The winery produces 1,500 to 2,000 cases and continues to grow.
